Relaxing Holidays in the UK

Have you been thinking of going on a British holiday? Explore a part of this rock you’ve yet to see, save some money, and have just as much fun as you would if you’d gone abroad.

Rail Adventure

What better way is there to experience the beautiful landscapes, historic sites, and coastal passes of the UK than traversing the rail network? Up and down the country from Cornwall to Scotland and diagonally from London to Wales, Britain boasts some of the best rail lines there are. Don’t forget to pack some snacks and a flask in case you get peckish, and a pack of cards is a great idea if you can snag a table seat. So sit back, relax, and watch out the window as the world passes by.

Wild Camping

Get back to basics and vacay the wild way with a tent off the beaten track. Explore one of the beautiful districts, from the peaks to the lakes, or make your way around the Brecon Beacons with your camping supplies on your back or in the boot. While it may not be a glamorous way to spend your time off, it’ll sure be relaxing to get away from the hustling, bustling, screens, and traffic jams of everyday life.

Coastal Get-Away

Take a trip to the cool coasts of Britain, from sunny St Ives to beloved Brighton. Discover secrets of the past along the Jurassic coast, running from East Devon to Dorset, or soak up some Vitamin D in the south of Cornwall. You’ll certainly want to pack the picnicware for all the beautiful days spent on the beach.

Cottage or Castle

Full of character, charm, and walls that wished they could talk, the castles and cottages of Great Britain offer a perfect place to retreat to on your time off. Set in the depths of the country with local wildlife in abundance - like Hever in Kent or Bovey in Dartmoor, or the heart of the city - like Edinburgh and Warwick, the large estates and peaceful gardens of a castle will have you feeling like royalty. If you're a fan of quaint and cosy, then you might prefer a cottage to a castle, with a warming fire, your own amenities, and ivy scaling its open brick exterior.

City Break

If you can't split away from an urban lifestyle with free wifi and a coffee chain shop around the corner, then a city break is ideal. Travelling away from your usual corner of the country, but taking all your usual amenities with you, a city break is a great way to explore other areas without striding too far from your comfort zone.

Foodie Fun

Get your gourmet on with a food-filled getaway. Travel around with the main intention of tucking into some tasty local cuisine at each step. From pasties and cider down south to, scotch whisky and haggis up north, with all the pork pies and Chelsea buns in the Midlands and fish and chips all around, Britain is bursting with delicious dining experiences to be tried. Why not link it into the rail adventure? Pick a route and lovely local dish in each destination and set off on a mission to satisfy your taste buds.
