If you’re a big fan of the spooky season, you’ll no doubt be planning some sort of Halloween party. But what games will you have to keep everyone occupied? Here at The Range, we’ve got plenty to keep you and your party guests full of life, even if they’re dressed as the undead!
A classic party game and fun for all ages, Wink Murder is a great ice-breaking party game. The objective is for the murderer to eliminate as many people as possible before being detected. The game begins by sitting in a circle with your eyes closed, whilst the selector will tap someone on the shoulder, deeming them the 'wink murderer'. The wink murderer must then try to make eye contact and wink at people without being detected by the other players. When being winked at, one should act out a funny or dramatic death scene as they fall to the ground.
If a living person thinks they have guessed the murderer, they can put their hand up and say, ‘I accuse!’ and state their suspect. If correct, they win and become the next selector. If they are wrong, they are eliminated from the game. The wink murderer wins by making it to the end of the game undetected!
If you’re familiar with the rules of beer pong, then this game will be an easy feat. The twist is that we suggest drawing an eyeball onto the ping pong ball to make this game as creepy as it is fun!
On opposing sides of a table, arrange your cups into a triangle. Simply try and throw the ball into the opponent’s cup, and if you get it in, they must drink the contents. Whoever runs out of cups first is the loser!
For a family-friendly version of this game, simply swap the boo-ze out for something non-alcoholic or pop a sweetie inside! You can even decorate the table and cups, which doubles as a fun activity, as well as adding to the Halloween theme.
This game is fun as it allows you to get creative and is suitable for any age, so even your littlest ones can join in! First of all, collect some tin cans and paint each of them with a Halloween character. This is a great activity to do with the kids to get them excited for Halloween!
When they’re all dry and it’s time for your party, stack them in a tower and take turns to strike them down with a ball, as you would with normal bowling.
If you’re after a quiet game to wind down the evening, then Cluedo is the perfect option. Fun for all the family, unravel the mystery of this game as you tuck into your Halloween sweets and cast suspicion around the table.
