University Stationery Essentials

If you’re heading off to university, you’re bound to be thinking about what to bring with you. Although most people use computers at university, you’ll need some stationery for revision and notes. Well, here at The Range, we’ve put together a handy list of stationery essentials to take.

Notebooks

It may seem simple, but you’re sure to need at least a few notebooks with you at university. It’s a good idea to have separate ones for different classes to help you stay organised. You can get different designs to show off your personality and notebooks with dividers to help you differentiate between modules.

Pens and Pencils

Everyone knows that you need something to fill those notebooks with so stock up on pens and pencils! It’s inevitable that you’ll forget one in a lecture hall or the library, or they’ll run out after writing pages of notes, so a multipack of pens is a must-have to last you through the year.

Pencils are super handy for drawing diagrams, sketches and more, so they’re great to have in your arsenal, along with a sharpener and a rubber to erase any mistakes you make.

Highlighters

The popular favourite of many is the humble highlighter. Great for emphasising important aspects of your notes or textbooks, these are a stationery staple. Highlighters can be used to add some colour to your notes and make them easier to digest, no matter which colour you prefer.

Sticky Notes

These little adhesive bits of paper are super handy at university. Whether you put them all around your room or leave them on your laptop to remind you of important dates, they’re a stationery essential for any student. Some people are strongly opposed to writing in books or textbooks, so sticky notes are great for making annotationswithout tarnishing the book.

Academic Diary

It’s quite possible that you’ll have a diary anyway or use one on your phone to keep track of dates, but an academic diary is useful to have on hand to keep track of important deadlines, lectures, or social events.

Folders

Perhaps one of the most crucial items to help keep you organised, folders will help you file handouts, notes and other important documents. Plus, you can get them in a design to accent your bedroom for some subtle décor!

We hope that this list of stationery supplies has enlightened you on what items to take with you.  If there’s anything else you find yourself in want of, don’t forget to browse our stationery department! We have a myriad of collections for you to choose from, so you can find something to show off your personality.
