Where do capsule bulbs work best?

You'll find capsule light bulbs in loads of places around the home where space is tight but you still need proper lighting. They're brilliant for kitchen under-cabinet strips that light up your worktops, bathroom mirror lights, delicate table lamps with smaller fittings, and recessed ceiling spotlights. 

They're also perfect for display lighting in cabinets or shelving, plus many appliances like cooker hoods and fridges use them because of their compact size and ability to handle different conditions.

Choosing the right kind of bulb

G9 Capsule Bulbs - These are probably the most common type you'll encounter. G9 bulbs have two pins spaced 9mm apart and are frequently used in ceiling lights, wall lights, and under-cabinet fittings. They're brilliant for both decorative and task lighting.

G4 Mini Bulbs - Even smaller than G9s, these tiny powerhouses are perfect for the most compact fittings. With pins spaced just 4mm apart, they're often found in display lighting, desk lamps, and niche light fittings where space is really tight.

E14 Small Edison Screw - Sometimes called "small screw" bulbs, these have the traditional screw fitting but in a smaller size. They're common in decorative lights, chandeliers, and appliances where a screw fitting is preferred over pins.
