Always position fire pits and chimineas on a firm, non-flammable surface. Keep them at a safe distance from fences, plants, or anything that could catch alight. It’s worth having a bucket of water or sand nearby, just in case. If you’re using a heater, take a moment now and then to check it over and give it a clean and the safety thumbs-up - a little bit of maintenance can make a big difference to both performance and keeping everything safe.
