Day beds
Day beds are a classic choice for temporary beds for a reason. They offer a sturdy frame and comfortable mattress for your guests to sleep on while also acting as a sofa for your home when they aren’t being slept on. Here are some of our most popular day bed options…
Day beds with storage: Looking to really make the most of your available room? These clever beds come with roomy under-bed drawers that are brilliant for tucking away your bed linen or clothes.
Single: The classic style of day bed sleeps one guest on a comfortable single mattress. No heavy lifting is needed to transform it from sofa to bed, simply add bedding and you’re ready to host!
Trundle: This model allows you to sleep two when needed. Simply pull out the handy trundle bed from underneath and pop it alongside the main bed for a spacious double made up of two single mattresses.
Sofa bed
Put you up beds don’t have to just be beds - a sofa that transforms into a bed at a moment’s notice could make the perfect solution as it works double duty. You’ll have a sofa for everyday life and a guest bed that pulls or folds out when guests arrive.
Plus, if you don’t have a dedicated spare room, a sofa bed can easily be used as your living room sofa and then flipped out for guests when you need it. Meaning it doesn’t take up any additional room in your home!
Folding beds
If you need a temporary bed that has a minimal footprint, a folding bed - sometimes known as a pop up bed - is worth considering as a comfy single or double spare bed option. Storage couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is fold it away and you’ll be able to store it under a bed or in a cupboard or wardrobe. This strikes a great balance between comfort and space efficiency.
Air beds
If you want a pop bed that takes up the absolute minimum amount of space when not in use and doesn’t break the bank, an air bed is one of the most space-efficient and cheap guest beds you’ll find. You’ll be able to host a friend or family member and then pack it away into a cupboard or storage box when it’s no longer in use.
Plus, if you need camping supplies for any future adventures you’ll already have your bed sorted!

FAQs
Do our day beds come with a mattress?
No, they don’t. However, you can pick up a comfortable mattress right here at The Range at the same time you purchase your day bed frame.
Can I use a day bed for my children’s bedrooms?
Yes, day beds are a brilliant choice for children as they often feature useful under-bed storage drawers that can be used for toys or clothes. After all, they function the same as a single kid's bed. Opting for a trundle makes sleepovers easy too.
Can I sleep on a guest bed all the time?
A day bed uses a normal mattress so you’ll find it just as comfortable as a regular bed! So there really isn’t anything stopping you from using it all the time. However, sofa beds and folding beds aren’t sprung, so we wouldn’t advise using them full-time in place of a mattress.
